Cheerleading w/ Soul Dance

Had a performance w/ Soul Dance yesterday night. :)

The event was the Prudential's Annual Dinner and it was held at Four Points Hotel. I could tell that it was a big event for the company because everyone dressed to kill.

There was a prize giving session where the agencies that brought in money for the company were recognized for their hardwork. Notes of appreciation were presented to them by the CEO aka the big boss.

As for us, we chilled and made a mess of the waiting hall while waiting for our turn to perform :)

A shot of the popping routine that I was not a part of. That was Keo on stage btw, an awesome popper from Soul. :)

And here's us, the girls, who performed a cheerleading routine comprised of three songs.

We dressed in DIY-ed blue tops, white bottoms and hand-made pom poms. :) All the girls are so hot except me. They are so fit because they strictly watch their diet and they go to the gym - things I'm lazy to do. LOL sad but true. So yea, can't complain.

If you'd like to watch the vid, here you go. :)

"Dang how I wish I could pop the balloons!" You'll get what I mean when you watch the vid, haha.

The routine wasn't very hard, but practice time was short and limited so I forgot a few steps during the performance gosh. In the third song, there was a small part where I was facing total different direction from the rest of the girls! But luckily I was the middle one, so it wasn't that obvious. :P

01-06, we represent Soul Dance. :)

Supper session at Mcd's after the performance was really really fun. During our conversations I laughed until my tummy hurt. Too bad I didn't take any pictures cuz my cam died. Awesome night.

After 2 months of dying my hair with Liese Milk Tea, I dyed my hair using Liese Sweet Pink and now it has a slightly redder shade of brown. However, no one noticed. Lol, oh wells.

'I don't need anger management.
I just need people to stop pissing me off.'

I thought of myself the second I saw this quote haha. It suits me damn well. ;) I think the duck face suits me damn well either lol.

With all the love,

P.S. I just wanna say I love you over and over again.

Charity Dance Competition

Messy hair after a whole day at The Spring. Simple outfit  for the day with a white top, denim shorts and my usual Vincci bag. Went to watch the Charity Dance Competition organized by the Red Cresent Sarawak Branch.

So many people showed up for the event!

It was a fund raising event and the participants had to collect donation of a certain sum to take part in the competition. All for a good cause because the funds collected will be used for disaster relief. :)

There were 4 categories of participants but I don't wanna get into all the tedious details. I arrived at 2pm and it was a long 3-hour+ wait till Category C that FLAMO took part in. Luckily, I had Khai's DSLR to keep myself busy during the wait.

Some pictures of the peeps. :)

FLAMO and GotSoul during stand-by right before competition.

Stepaholic performing. I shot pictures of other groups too but I couldn't get the soft copy so yeah. :/

The exhausted Andy right after FLAMO's turn on stage.

It was 8pm something when they finally announced the winners. The dancers and crowd parted to make a path for the VIP to walk through.

Results were announced and it astonished every one. Champion went to a massive group of dancers who wore black, hung a white cloth around their waist, and basically ran around the stage during their performance.

Among all the good street dance teams who gave awesome performances, only Stepaholic went away with 3rd Runner Up. Personally I thought Vanity would get Champion but I guess the judges didn't think so? I think they were bias. Ish, like seriously.

The whole event finally came to an end at 9pm+.

I end this post with a picture with the guys from Woon's DSLR. Quite dark but I love it. A tiring but fun day. :)

A date with myself

I enjoy having time to myself occasionally. I would go out on my own, drive around, do some shopping- especially when I'm feeling down. I would have the time to think things out for a little, to declutter my mind. Tonight was one of those nights, and I couldn't bare to coop myself at home. It's been awhile now, since I've last had one of these trips on my own.

Got a random shot in the car while looking for parking, then wandered around the mall. Went to Padini to get the Vincci flap bag I wanted since forever, as I give excuses for myself to spend whenever I'm moody. Then I headed over to Starbucks to chill. Some staff would ask for your name and write it on the cup, I love it when they do that. :) Two friends came over and accompanied me a little. After that I went to watch The Hunger Games and to be frank, it was my first time watching a movie in the cinema alone.

Two minor incidents that happened during the night. First, while I was buying my movie ticket and I said, "One, please." to the counter girl. The uncle and the child behind me mocked me, "Wah watch a movie alone," "One, kekkeke," (In chinese) They probably thought I didn't hear them. Well, damn you close-minded Chinks. :/ Secondly, when I was in Watson and queuing to pay, two girls in front of me looked back at me then talked and giggled, looked and giggled somemore. They laughed so loud until the counter person ask them, "Apa sangat lucu itu?" Damn you two crazy girls too.

Other than that, the night was great. I came home feeling much better. :)

The Hunger Games was an awesome movie. Rate it 8.5/10.

I cried when Rue died. I love the story as a whole. Love the setting, for the time frame seemed like a very long time ago yet so high tech at the same time. It was obvious that the main character would win, but the journey towards the end was full of suspense and excitement.

P.S. I'm independent and strong, but I have a vulnerable soft core. If you decided to take my heart, please be kind and protect it.

Signing off. :)

Life Update

Nudes are in style some time ago but for now, I still base all my outfits of nude palettes. :) And I swear I have no idea why the resolution turn out like this, I did not edit.

Currently working in a law firm, and gaining experiences for my future undertaking as a Law student (hopefully). Colleagues treat me so well and their conversations make me laugh like crazy. The feeling in the office is never tense and I look forward to every work day.

People doubt my choice in choosing to be a lawyer and they doubt whether I would succeed. For I'm not a serious person. For I'm silly and loud and at often times, too carefree. Sometimes the negativity gets to me and I would doubt myself too. However, having myself exposed to the Law field makes me even more certain that I want to be a lawyer in the future.

So there's that. Still waiting for the SAT exams to come, and after that, see if the school wants me to become a student of theirs.

Though for the moment, I have everything I need and I don't think I have much to complain about. :)

But to think about it, I do have something I hate about myself. And it's exactly like the video above. lol

Comparing the me now and the me two years back.

Same smile, but clearly I look older more mature now. The only difference, hair was so much shorter then. Should I chop it all off again? :)

FLAMO photoshoot + Earth Hour

Hi this is Keryn. :)

For those who don't know me- I'm a dancer. I am from a crew called Flamo. Some part of me belong to Soul Dance Crew as well, lol.

Yesterday, there was a 'Wheel for Thrills' event held at Tun Jugah mall. Level 19 (baby crew from Flamo) was invited to give a performance there.

Due to a series of unfortunate events however, I've failed to deliver a good performance. :'( My mind was clautered with issues and I forgot routines. I cried before show and so I couldn't perform as well as usual. It sucked like shit and I swear to God I won't let it happen again. :C

Thankfully, the gathering with Flamo afterwards cheered me up tons. :)

We were supposed to go for a crew shoot, but it was raining cats and dogs. So while waiting for the rain to subside, we gathered at Kuek's house.

Picture above, the guys were imitating my photo-taking gestures but I didn't notice it until being told so. LOL!

We opened up the hamper and had a nice little tea time there. :) And yea, the main reason I wrote the my previous post was just to explain where this hamper came from, haha. Then off to the shooting site!

Guess where is the place? Batu Lintang students surely would know! :)

Then we traveled to the next shooting site together. <3

We used the awesome graffiti on the wall as our setting for the next shoot.

Some pictures from my cam. :)

And here, some pictures from Khai's DSLR. :)

That night, went to Boulevard to spend Earth Hour 2012.

Joined Soul Dance in a Flash Mob collaboration with Feasible Crew and Stepaholic. We danced in the dark with glow sticks on our wrists and it was so much fun.

On a sad note, I forgot my camera! :( So above were the only 2 pictures I captured with my phone. Anyone has any pictures? Would love to have them, thanks!

Love today because I spent it meaningfully. I need more days like this. :)

Add-ons: I splurged on dancing tees, and received a rose. :)

With all the love,
