Penang Photo Diary: Cheers x Straights Quay

It was one evening back when we were on our Penang trip. Ally's A-level mate, Brandon brought us out along with a bunch of his friends and it was an enjoyable night. :) This was the only time of my Penang trip that we had other teenage company lol.

Brandon and friends brought us to dinner at Cheers Restaurant & Bierhaus and it was a nice little restaurant. The food was good and they came in huge portions not to mention the reasonable price.

The classy interior of the restaurant

The outside sitting area

Cheers Restaurant & Bierhaus is a stand-alone restaurant located right by the road. The environment is really nice and the waiters were very friendly. Recommends. :) Sorry for the glaring picture of the restaurant!

Address: 3x, Jalan Pantai Molek, Tanjung Tokong, 10470 Penang.

After dinner, we went to visit Straight Quay. First time there and I fell in love with the place! :)

Sadly it was late when we reached and most of the shops and bazaars were already closing so I didn't get to see the place much. Before the trip a friend told me they have a Converse outlet store here where you can get Converses at a relatively cheaper price but I didn't manage to shop! So next time when you're here, don't miss out. :)

And I love this long stretch of road behind Straights Quay that is facing the sea. You can feel the sea breeze here and have a superb view of the harbour and the light house. It is so fabulous and romantic. Datable location!

Drank the night away with great company at The Library. :) Enjoyed the live band, and made new friends (though I've already forgotten some of the names lol). Played a drinking game with cards and finished two towers of Hoegaarden.

One of the punishment, dancing - with Brandon and Emson LOL.

The new friends were so awkward and shy at first but in the end everyone warmed up and we had so much fun. :)

The guy wearing grey in the first picture is so cute and coincidentally he is from Taylor's Lakeside as well. The guy with the dimple is a waiter at Cheers and he came to join us after his shift. After ditching the glasses and uniform he's such a bombshell woots!

With Ally, the awesome friend who insisted on not touching alcohol and DID NOT touch an ounce of alcohol even after urges from everyone. :) Miss you! We'll see each other soon xx.

We debated on which picture to be posted on the blog because I like one better but she prefered the other. Couldn't remember which is which so both are up haha. Kthxbye!

Boyfie's Birthday 2013

With Boyfie on his birthday. :)

It was a special occasion because it was the first time we officially celebrated his birthday together as a couple. Boyfie's birthday fell on a Friday and basically we celebrated it throughout the weekend. First of all I wanna talk about the presents I gave him. :)

With the help of my Mum, I made cupcakes for him. :)

I wanted pastel colours but I left out baby pink to avoid the cake becoming too girly lol. I opt for simple designs and I think the cake turned out quite pretty. Very rough work indeed but filled with lots of love.

Spelt out his name with tiny sugar alphabets.

And I bought him the strawberry-scented Lotso plush doll from Toys R Us. :) The gift was not a first choice of mine and it was a hard choice to make between 3 or 4 options, but I'm glad he loved the present!

Lastly on his birthday afternoon, I treated Boyfie to Pizza Hut. *blowing candles* It was a pleasant lunch for two. :)

That evening he celebrated with a birthday dinner at Porkies with his uni mates. :)

Porkies always have so much good food to offer! Yum. Both dishes above were finished by a guy friend alone lol.

After dinner, he made his wish and blew the candle. Wonder what was it he wished for. :)

Choices of meat and vegetables
A variety of side dishes

The next evening, Boyfie had another birthday dinner with his secondary friends at U-Garden. :)

U-garden is a buffet diner that sets out tables for 4 each equipped with a steamboat and a crystal grill. It is special because I think it is the first steamboat & grill place with an indoor setting with air-conditioning. The food provided were very thorough - from meats to seafood to juices and ice-creams.

Personally I think the placement of the steamboat is not very convenient for the two people sitting further away from it and also the heat of the grill is only focused at the center. On weekends it charges rm30 per pax and I think the dining experience is worth the price. :) Sorry for the low quality pictures I am not used to using my camera anymore lol.

I attacked the seafood over and over and over. Lol attacked the beef as well. *sings: These are a few of my favorite things...

Picture credits to Shirley. :) Was supposed to be a candid but I posed in time haha!

Due to some personal reasons I felt the need to make Boyfie's birthday more special for him so I put a lot of thought into the gifts and stuff. What more, he had me with him the whole way so I'm sure he had a great birthday! :P Haha I'm kidding. On a serious note though, him wanting me to be there with him through out the whole celebration made me feel really special.

Love you! xx

Tenashar x Rush Artistry II

Went clubbing with friends the weekend Tenashar came to play in Kuching. :) The main point of going should be for Tenashar, but I was more excited to go to the club to dance rather than having see Tenashar because I haven't set foot in a club since last year's New Year Count Down.

Took a few shots before leaving the house. Simple black and brown outfit with simple make up.

Just in case you have no idea who Tenashar is. She is a DJ cum model from Singapore and I know her because Boyfie is a fan. Google her for more pictures. :) She is super hot and I was always kinda jealous of her and for the fact that boyfie idolized her. But she IS super hot so who can blame a guy for going gaga over her?

So anyways, it was Tenashar's first appearance in Kuching, and I'm so glad I got to go. :) Initially I only wanted to go because boyfie wanted to go and asked me to accompany him but he was lazy in the end and decided not to. I wanted to go still so I went with friends.

First time in Rush Artistry II. DJ Table, entrance wrist band and the view from our table.

Ah Yao's poker face and a picture with Donald. :)

Around 11pm Tenashar took over the DJ table, started playing and the crowd went insane. She's so pretty in person. And again, who could blame any guy for going gaga over this woman. I is jealous :C but after seeing her in person I officially give Boyfie the permission to idolize her lol.

Awesome straight up view of the DJ from the comfort of our table. :) And for the first time ever I see that there were no girls on the dance floor lol.

Love these two pictures taken with Lydia and Dawson. :)

Danced the whole night and I had a blast! A big thank you to Dawson for helping me get a last-minute ticket because it was a super last-minute decision and also for driving me to and from. :) And thanks to the guys too for taking care of me. Dear Tenashar do visit Kuching again soon!
